"The State of Hawaii is more dependent on imported fossil fuel than any other state in the nation.
It’s time we changed that by using the renewable options available to us," said Brad Albert, founder of the Hawaii PV Coalition. "This tour gives Maui residents a first-hand look at solar technology — learning what it is, how it works, and how it decreases our dependence on oil."
Co-sponsors of Maui’s tour are:
Rising Sun Solar Electric, ProVision Technologies, UPC Hawaii Wind,
and the Hawaii Solar Energy Association.
The Hawaii PV Coalition, a nonprofit organization composed of businesses and homeowners, was formed to actively promote solar electric energy across the Hawaiian Islands.
